I was on lipitor for 3 years and went off 6 months ago due to extreme muscle pain and weakness in legs and thighs. After a few weeks it was better except for one thigh and hip. It is so painful to rise from sitting or lying in bed. Has anyone had pain for some time after going off? I can barely climb stairs. My hands and fingers are painful and it's hard to hold on to things. I've tried a corisone shot which helped for a couple of weeks and also the chiropractor but nothing seems to last. The next step is a MRI which like some of you will probably not show anything.
