I understand just what you are saying I have been taking it for 4 yrs now and was off it for 7months and let me tell you you never go back to feeling the same as before taking it. I have to go back on it at a much lower dose but once you have this medication in your system for a long period I believe it does something to your central nervous system and it never goes back to normal.
I've been taking 1/2 of a .5mg pill a day for two months. I feel like i need it to get thru the day. Also I'm so f---ing tired all the time. All I want to do is rest when I'm home from work. I have just alittle anxiety -that's why I tried it. I think the very small dose I take is taking over. Shuld I stop??
I take xanax, I can take up to 3 of the .5 mg per day. Some days I take all 3 and some days I take none. This medicine can make you tired but it has been a HUGE help for my anxiety. I had become so anxious that I was having trouble swallowing and breathing. This medicine along with Effexor XR has given me back my normal life. Before I started these medicines, I was ready to give up. Some people need medicine and every kind isn't for every body. I tried Buspar, which did NOTHING for me but made me dizzy, increasing my panic. Also Lexapro which worked awhile then made me feel suicidal for no reason at all so I got off that. I think if you have anxiety and depression- trying out some different medicines is worth the trial and error periods you have to go through to find which may make your life so much better in the end. zanax has helped me with anxiety, pmdd and bad
cramping along with taking vicadin. crazy but it works.
Took XANAX for several years. Only took it when I needed it , most of the time I broke it in half; made me calm. Also used for sleep, on occasions when I couldn't sleep. The trick for XANAX is only when needed and never increase doses. If you need it more often, take it more often, but DO NOT increase doses. Also never take with alcohol or grapefruit juice. When I stopped, I never had a problem. The prescription expired one day and I never tried to refill it.
