Hello Ladies, I began taking Yasmin about 2 weeks ago. I've taken Ortho Tri Cyclene and Ortho Lo before and have never had any problems, but I went off the pill for about 2 years and my Gyno said that this would be a good pill for someone going back on birth control. I thought that my side effects were just my body getting used to the pill again. I started the pill pack on the first day of my period, and my period dissappeared in a day. I continued taking the pills and every day since I've been getting these cramps in my lower stomache (I can only describe them as similar to menstrual cramps- and I often feel nauseous), my back has been killing me, and I've been noticing more and more breakthough bleeding every day. It's almost like I've had a light period for 2 weeks. I've started to consider taking a pregnancy test but I don't know if these would be the side effects to taking the pill when you're pregnant, and I really don't think I am-- I think I'm going crazy. I'm going on vacation in 2 days and I'm going to see if I can get an appointment with my doc to change the pill, because I'm not going to quit and get my period and I can't keep taking this horrible pill. If anyone has any new advice, please let me know!!
