I have been taking the max dose 80 of lipitor for years now and everyhing was fine un til recently. Now, I can hardly type this note today as my arms, shoulders and legs are really painful especially my arms. I cannot raise them to pick up anytthing or put my socks on in the morning. It is much worse in the am. My doctor thinks it has to be the lipitor as all the other blood work was negative. I have been off Lipitor now for over a week but there are no signs I am improving. My doctor says it could be up to 6 weeks for me to feel somewhat better. I walk in the am like iI am 95. It is hard to believe Lipitor has caused these pains since I have been on it for so long. I have never been in this much pain and discomfort in my life and I am 66. Please help if you can. John
