I have been on Lisinopril/HCTZ for only a couple of weeks. The cough is terrible. I stopped taking this med for a couple of days and my BP went through the roof. There is no doubt that Lisinopril will lower your BP, it is the cough that concerns me. I have coughed so much my throat, chest and stomach are sore.
