Was on 25mg of Toprol for 3 years with no side effects. Started taking 50 mg last week because of increased PACs noted on heart monitor (24 hr) and have experienced anxiety, gritting teeth some hours out of the day and extreme fatigue other hours. Hope my body finally calms down but am having trouble working! Talked to my pharmacist who says the anxiety could be a side effect even though it's not common.....just like Benadryl, which makes some people hyper and others sleepy.
