I agree with previous posts that we need to remember that this IS supposed to make your body feel pregnant and most of the mentioned symptoms are like that when you're pregnant. I've never really been on much birth control. I took Depo about four years ago and had a VERY bad reaction to it. Then I took Lunelle about two years ago and Looooved it but they took it off the market. Now, I've been on Nuvaring for three weeks. I initially had the headaches and minor nausea for the first week and then it went away but the MAJOR and I mean major side effect I've had is depression. I have never had a problem with depression and I've been through a LOT of crap in my life and dealt with it just fine. But I am depressed to the point that my body and limbs feel heavy. I can not get myself to get out of bed and I have two baby girls that I adore. I cry about any and everything and I feel so freakin hopeless about everything. I talked about it with my fiancee and he asked "well what are you depressed about?" and I have NO reason. I'm doing great in school, I'm in a wonderful relationship, my girls are great...so that's how I know it's this ring. I'm taking it out this weekend and we're gonna go back to condoms for now. This is just so bad and I know other friends and classmates who are on this and have even had suicidal thoughts until they took it out. I'm sorry...it may be the hormones but it isn't worth all of the emotional ups and downs.
