I started taking Doxycycline five days ago for adult acne (I'm 30 and experiencing hormonal side effects from coming off DepoProvera after one year). I was prescribed 100 mg twice daily. My evening pill is okay, I take it right before bed. But when I take the pill in the morning, I get absolutely nauseous for about thirty minutes after and it feels as though I swallowed a pill ten times its actual size and it's still stuck in my throat. I haven't thrown up yet, but I've been up to that point for thirty minutes at a time. I'm weighing the benefits and side effects in considering whether or not to continue taking it. I haven't had the nauseau every time I've taken the pill, so I'm trying to drink water and eat to see if that helps. I'm thinking these side effects may subside over time. Everyone's suggestions were really helpful to me so I wanted to post mine in hopes they will help someone else.
