Hi , I had never had asthma or bronchitis. I got acute bronchitis for the first time in 8/2007. I was put on prednisone and Advair for the weezing. I could barely tolerate prednisone. I took it for a few days and stopped. Then I started to take Advair. My breathing improved however I felt awful. I had all over body pains, headaches, fatigue, pain in my joints, musles, tingling in my fingers, my eyes even bothered me. After only four days I was feeling miserable. I woke up in sweats in the middle of the night with my face flushed and my heart racing, i had an episode at work when my heart just raced and I was hyper ventilating. I ended up in the emergency room twice in three days. I went online to look at advair and side effects and read about other people's experiences with this drug. I stopped taking it after about five days. My side effects have mostly gone away however I now have this swelling in my left arm, tingling in my fingers and pain in that arm. I also have pain around that shoulder. I have never had anything wrong with that arm. I attribute that to Advair..I'm not sure waht happened but that arm and shoulder still bother me after being off a week almost..Has anyone had any lasting side effects after being off of this drug?? This is an awfull product which I believe should not be prescribed..The effects are potentially worse than the condition being treated..
