I only took a couple of the Toprol samples the doctor gave me. I stopped after these 2 rather than take any more. I would describe it as "tiredness in a bottle." Even when I cut the second pill in half, I had the same reaction. I am a Type A personality and go full speed all day and cannot take anything that makes me feel anything other than full of pep. Even though retired (to give you an idea how old I am), I like to be busy all day all the time. This medicine is not for me. Do you have an alternate w/o this side effect? Thanks.............
