According to a site I found, yes this is possible. Remember that side effects are different for everyone though. I hate this drug because it began to shut down my kidneys but soon after I stopped taking it the function came back. My advice to you would be to get regular blood tests. I wish my drs had done this and then maybe it would have been detected sooner. Pentasa can affect your kidneys, liver, or pancreas.
