I was on a prednisone pack for only 6 days. You taper highest dosage to lowest, with the first day at 6 pills and end with 1. I have had alot of side effects as well. Insomnia, bloating. Hungry as heck, thirsty. I'm eating like I normally do and work out 4 days a week, but noticed a 4 lb. weight gain in less than a week. I won't use this drug again. It's hard enough to lose weight, especially when your doing every thing right. It's got to be the prednisone. I know I just want to eat all the time. And go to bed with my stomach growling every night stinks.

Hey, you've heard of the old movie line, "Be careful. Be very careful"? Well, in my case I began prednisone in ninety-nine, a sleek, sexy, fit one ninety five of good looking man. (Ooooh, I love myself). In six months I weighed two-seventy-five.

After struggling to lose, I got down to two fifty, where I stayed for nearly eight years. Finally, in the past year, I am back down to one ninety. Still a sleek, ....aah, shadda my face.

Here's the kicker: I stopped prednisone after six months. So...thus...hence...and ...therefore: "Be careful. Be very careful."
