I have a metal burning taste in my mouth after taking 500 mg of Metformin each day. I have breakfast and take the meds about 2 hours after. This taste/burning sensation comes and goes all day long. It stops during the night (or I don't notice it) and in the morning when taking dosage it starts all over again. Food taste terrible, I'm eating very little but not losing weight either. What gives???

I would recommend taking the metformin right after eating. I don,t know why you are waiting 2 hours, but it should be taken with food. This may be also why you have a funny taste. I hope this information helps.
