Last year I had severe trigger finger in my right hand, ring finger. 2 shots of cortisone (or similar steroid) had only limited benefit. It dawned on me to try stopping the Lovastatin 30mg daily that I had been taking for about a year. Within 3 months, the symptoms disappeared. However, concerned about my high cholesterol and realizing that diet and exercise were not doing the job of lowering it, my doctor then had me start a lower dose of a different statin (10mg daily of Crestor). I now have severe trigger finger in the index finger of my left hand. I am stopping the Crestor and going in to the hand surgeon for evaluation. I think the drug companies are hiding information about a correlation/causal effect here.
