severe chest pain, cold sweat, nausea, vomiting, going on for hours! Went to hospital emergency twice before I realized I was reacting to the doxy (for Lyme). Never really got rid of the Lyme but with the doxy I literally thought I was dying - and I am not a pain-freak. Have a pretty high threshhold but was unable to walk or use the phone to call 911 when I was alone with the attacks. (Yes, it took me a couple of times to realize I was having a reaction, not a heart attack). BTW, I have looked doxy up online as an antibiotic and these kinds of side effects are typically not even alluded to much less discussed. Shameful!
