I received 4 injections of Kenalog - one a month for 4 months - for a skin disorder. Towards the middle of the 3rd month before I got the 4th and last injection I noticed that my forearms were getting these purple looking scrapes or brusies. I called my Dr about 4 days after my last shot - a male nurse gave me the shots and I never saw the Dr a dermatologist (sp?) - and told her what was happening. She said the shots had caused my skin to thin (and I had made a point to ask her about side effects and she said there really weren't any) and that I shouldn't take anymore shots. I asked her if the skin on my arms would repair itself and she said yes it would get better as it renewed itself and to use alpha hydroxie products on it to help it along. That was almost 5 months ago and my arms are still the same. I have been wearing long sleeve shirts since last June to try to protect them but even thru the shirt sleeve if my dogs walks on my arm,all 12 lbs of him or if I hit my arm by accident, I get marks and bruises that look horrible and take weeks to heal. And more are added as previous ones heal so I look a mess. Has anyone else had this problem and if so does it get back to normal skin and how long did it take?
