I just got off of the nuvaring two days ago...and I am experiancing some serious pain behind my left ovary. What should I do?
If you go to a doctor, they'll probably schedule an ultrasound. I had a similar problem, and it was a cyst on my right ovary, found in the ultrasound. I'd been on NR for a few years. The cyst ruptured and caused the pain. I think I was given med and had a follow up ultrasound in a month. It went away, which is the expectation when it ruptures. For the amount of pain, turned out not to be very serious.
I am so glad that i found this site!!!!im 30 yrs old and ive been on the nuvaring for 3 years and for the last year ive had constant yeast infections, bladder infections, back pain, head aches, bloating and i couldnt figure out what the problem was until i found this site...NUVARING!!! ive spent hundreds of dollars on co-pays, diflucan pills, bacterial vaginosis creme and even having my doctor accuse me of having a STD!! After reading this site i realise that i wasnt the only woman experiencing these issues..the DR's are blind and dont listen when u suggest that its the NUVARING!! i took mine out and i feel great no back pain, no headaches, no panty liners...i must say that its a great form of BC but the side effects and discharge was not worth it...any suggestions
