TOPAMAX HAIR LOSS and BIOTIN: Recommend that anyone losing hair to immediately start taking large doses of Biotin (a water soluble B vitamin) in doses of 5000 mcg (5mg) to 10000 mcg (10mg). Since TOPAMAX goes after your nervous system I also recommend that you take B12 (it must be methylcobalamin B12 only) 5000 mcg (5mg) to 10000 mcg (10mg) and B6 25-50mg. See a doctor and if possible see a Naturopathic Doctor.

I have been taking Topamax since April 2007 for migraines, and have experienced most or all the listed side effects that come w/ the one's prescription. I can put up w/ just about all the side effects just to have a life. However, what I can't handle is the hair loss that was not mentioned as a possible side effect by the maker's of Topamax or by my doctor. I am freaking out and have been for the last three months. I still have plenty of hair it is just thiner, so thank you for the tips on Biotin, and the vitmins.
