Been on 200mg. tpamax about 6 weeks. Problem swelling of the legs and tingling in toes they sometimes turn blue. Is this a side affect of topamax or something else. Doctors have no clue what the problem is any suggestions on what to do.

LeAnn,
I have been on Toamax for @ 3 yrs. The tingling in the toes (from asleep-feeling to completely numb) is definitely a problem for me as a side effect only from this medicine. I'm amazed that your doctors are prescribing something they don't know much about. That's scary. You need to find a doctor who specializes in your reasom for taking this. I have migraines and 200mg is the dose I need. To go back to 100mg eases the tingling somewhat. My doc, a neurologist, added Potassium prescriptions which helps also. It sounds like you need to back your Topamax to 100 and see if that stops the blue toes. You may not be able to take Topamax at all. If all else fails, contact the manufaturer and ask them.
Trish
