I have been on Diovan, 80 mg. for almost 3 weeks now. I was taken off of lisinopril due to a terrible cough which was getting worse by the day. My cough is almost gone now, but I have been having a real problem with flatulence since I started the Diovan. I also take Lipitor, and I think the combination of the two drugs may be the issue. Back to the doctor, I guess. I would like to be able to go out in public. I've tried Beano to no avail. But on the positive side, my blood pressure is fine now!

I have been on diovan for 10 days but I decided to take the drug at night before I got to sleep. It does seem to make be sleep but so far I have not suffered the tiredness. I have however had this ringing in my ear but it seems to have stopped. I have had cramps in the legs a couple of times and I do feel bloated, I have also notice that my finger nails are very brittle and they seem to chip very easily; So far I have not noticed hair lost but I am watching it very carefully.

I have never had high blood pressure until the last 6 months so I am taking it to get the pressure down. My doctor told me also to take Lipitor after I take the 15th pill and begin to take them both for 30 days. I am trying this because my pressure suddenly went up to 192/80. That is the danger zone so I must work to get it down. I hope that I will be able to get off of it after the 30 days. I have never been on prescribed medication unless it was for a cold or something minor so I am really concerned about the side effects.

I've started Lisinopril too, and was taken off because of cough, and given diovan, after a few months the diovan didn't lower my pressure, so my doctor doubled the dosage, and I will see...I have an appt. with my doctor Wed. the 27th this month. The only side effects I've noticed which to me are major, is weight gain, I seem to be hungry all the time, I'm tired, I usually sleep 8 or more hours a night, but in the morning I can't seem to get up, and if I don't have to go to work, I lay around in bed, and don't want to do anything, I've also noticed that my eyes are always red, I feel bloated, and plain ol' fat, has anyone else felt this way, just plain tired, and not wanting to do anything, even though I have plans I wait until the last minute to get up, I just feel blah!
