My doctor also told me that this was the first time had heard of it (the indentation from Kenalog). But this website is proof that it is indeed a very common side effect. I have read that this type of injection must be injected deep into the tissue otherwise it can cause atrophy to the muscle. I wish there were a lawyer out there. Maybe we can start a class action.
I had this shot in September 2006 for poison oak and a couple of months later this big indention in my right butt cheek, I was told that it would be a slight indention or dimple but wasn't expecting a hole I could fit my fist in. Here it is July 2007 and still doesn't look like it is any different than before, I asked a nurse at my doctor about it she says it is normal she has seen worse than mine. But to me looks pretty bad and I feel like I am deformed for life. I would like to know what can be done about it or if there is something to make it come back out.
I have the same huge indention in my butt from a shot as well. Have you found anything to do to get rid of this big "hole"?
Hey there,
You posted this over a year ago. I'm hoping you're still checking this mail because I'd love to hear your update. I'm a year behind you...had my shot in march '07 and still am cratering after 11 months. Wondering if it ever stops and, as some say, if it ever starts filling in.
