I've been on seroquel since 99 I totally understand and feel for you. Insomnia can drive one insane into a mental hospital eventually (been there done that), if seroquel helps you and the benefits out weigh the side effects then keep taking it. You are on the max dose, don't stop taking it or lower it without a "GOOD" doctors guidance. the 2 main reasons mentally-ill people relapse is because they stop there meds and the other is isolation. Once a relapse happens it gets seriously harder to return to "normal" function and its torture. Could take months. Also I don't know your diagnosis but I know mood stabilizers help Seroquel work better then you can lower your dose while achieving the same effect. I've been taking meds since 13 years old and have had a spectrum of diagnosis's. Hope this help you and others that read this.
