heart palpatations, shortness of breath upon strenuous exercise. Went to dr. bp was up, of course that's why I am on 21/2 mg of lisinopril. Heart rate and pulse were good, no fluid in lungs. I also have stuffy nose. Dr.said try to stick with it for another week and see how symptoms are. I am scared to death. Active 58 yr. old female pretty healthy except for bp and thyroid (take synthroid). Anyone have similar symptons or suggestions?

I too had the heart palpatations and skipping. I have been taking 10 mg. lisinopril for 5 weeks and complained to the doctor twice and he told me today I could stop taking the medicine. Sure hope this brings me back to how I use to feel. I also had the shortness of breath and stuffy nose.

I too have heart palpatations and some dizziness. I have taken Lisinopril 10 mg. for 5 weeks. The second time I called the doctor I was told I can stop taking the medicine. I also have a stuffy nose and some difficulty breathing. Hope this makes all these symptoms leave.

Well I too have taken Lisinopril/hctz 20mg for awhile...been very short and irritable at work..thinking it was stress related especially the heart palpatations and "nervous legs and arms". Then I went to another MD and suggested another B/P med that possibly didn't have the same s/e. And within a month the nervousness and heart palpatations stopped. Ringing continues though..maybe that is permanent. I hope not... The other drug was Diovan..it is costlier but easier on the heart muscle Dr. said. I am still going to go for a holistic approach and lose weight and exercise and take herbs...all the while staying in touch with my Dr. and checking my b/p a couple of times per day...but til I lose the weight I will continue with Diovan or something else besides Lisinopril. A Texas nurse..
