I started taking Levaquin on a Friday for an upper respiratory infection and by Saturday night both my knees and right hip were aching. I could not sleep and I would lie awake at night thinking awful things; dying, being mugged, going bankrupt, etc.... I am the kind if person that needs to sleep a lot in order to get well and Levaquin was depriving me of that. I was always queasy, no matter what I ate of if I went hungry. By Tuesday, my symptoms had not improved at all so I called the doc and told him I wanted something different. I had never had an antibiotic not work plus, being a three tier drug at $35.00, I was pissed off that I wasted my money. My doc prescribed Augmentin and I am 10 times better now.
