regarding the question about weight gain--I have read/heard about "lipitor belly" in which extra fat occurs around the waist for those taking lipitor (you could google "lipitor belly" to determine if there is info out there). and for the individual who is stopping lipitor to see if the symptoms reverse--PLEASE read some of the archives here. MANY symptoms have NOT REVERSED after 5 yrs off the drug. best of luck to you all
