I started taking Levaquin 500 mg for a sinus infection. I was supposed to take the pills for 11 days. I experienced the same thing with severe muscle pain in my knees and joints. My legs would barely bent because they were so swollen.My first reaction was not to say anything to anyone becuase I am not one to complain, however, it kept getting worse and I called my doctor. I told her that I had to stop taking Levaquin. She said it would be out of my system within the next 3 weeks. The bad thing is that my knees are still swollen after 5 months and have not been the same since. Is there a anicdote for a severe reaction to Levaquin. If anyone knows anything-please let me know.
