I started about the first of year having asthma type symptoms and was prescribed Singulair. My breathing did improve greatly, however I started having severe IBS symptoms even though I was taking Zelnorm. I also suffered from extreme constipation, pain in my side and back, headaches, backache, pain behind my knees, numbness and tingling in my legs and anxiety. I was on a restricted diet and I treated with my gastroenterologist and had an Endoscopy which was negative. One evening after taking the Singulair I suffered a severe headache and decided to quit taking the drug. I have been off since March 18th and I feel tremendously better, the side effects have diminished greatly and I have resumed a normal diet and activities.
