A few patients get itching and rash during the first few weeks of treatment. Usually this does not require the discontinuation of therapy. You should talk to your doctor still about possible systemic reactions by the drug.

I am experiencing the same thing, right now. I am taking 40mg,at night, and about 30 mins. later my hands and feet itch like crazy. How long did it last for you or did you end up switching to something else? I am taking benedryl for the itch but it makes me so sleepy. Did you find something that helped with your itching?
