I was prescribed Levaquin for sever Sinusitus. Almost one hour after the 2nd dose I began experiencing tightness in my chest that became progressively worse. At the 1.5 hour mark on day 2 I was in anaphylactic shock and had to be taken to the ER in an ambulance. I am 41 years old and have know of an allergy to both Penicillin (from age 2) and Quibron (from age 15). I was saved with multiple doses of benadryl, adrenaline and another med I cannot remember.
