Hello, I also have severe asthma and have been on and off of prednisone my entire life. I had the same aweful side effects plus some other long term effects that are horrible. But, I have been on a new medecine called xolair. It is an injection that is given every two weeks to a month depending on the persons need for it. Mabey it can help you too. Please let me know if it helps you as much as it helps me!

I don't know resolution but don't take prednison because it will never cured astma and you will get side effect. Many years ago I got back pain it so hurt I almost every morning when I wake up. Then after my back pain cured in two years I got tendonitis could not raise my hand above my shoulder for three months.
