I am 48 years old and I have been taking Tricor for about 4 years. About 2 years ago my doctor added 10 mg of Lipitor. My cholesterol went from 235 to 145, however during the past 2 months I have started to develop joint and muscle pain in both my arms. I went to the doctor and he told me it was tendonitis. I felt that having it in both arms at the same time was weird. I have always been very physically active and have not changed my routine. Last weekend I stopped taking the Lipitor and I felt a little better. I took it again this week and the pain is back. My doctor told me it is not the Lipitor. I am going to stop it for a week a see what happens.

I recently (two weeks) stopped taking Tricor and Lipitor combo and I do feel somewhat better. However I have develpoed what seems like arthritis in my left knee and pain in the tendons in my arms . This problem is exacerbated by exercise; I am also physically active. Also fatigue and low rbc seem to be a legacy of these poisonous drugs. I have done some research on these statin drugs and discovered that a vital enzyme CoQ10 is depleted from the body by use of these substances. The destruction of this vital element in our bodies leaves us open to a wide array of maladies. You can help yourself by discontinuing these dangerous drugs forever and replenishing your CoQ10 as a supplement available at any drugstore. I am also taking tri-omega fish oil as well as flax seed oil as a more natural method to lower my cholesterol.
