Yes, I have been taking Lipitor 40 mg for some 10 years now. I do a lot of walking, amongst other exercise.
I experience terrific back pain, particularly when I hop out of bed in the morning. When I exercise (walk) the pain does go away and returns only when I hop up in the morning. Speaking to other friends of the same age (65 years)
I was listening to a Doctor on one of our Radio talk back shows and he mentioned the statins cause muscular pain. I was interested because of my lower back and upper back pain, and wondered whether this might be caused by the Lipitor? I also notice it depletes Co-enzyme Q10 and wondered whether I should try a supplement?
I would be interested to hear what one should do. I am reluctant to stop taking the drug because my Cholesterol is contained?
