On april 16 I was prescribed omnicef by my dr. i reminded him and his assistant to all my allergies but his assistant assured me that no one had complained about this. Well guess i wont be going back to his office. I had an ear infection and sore throat. After taking the antibiotic, i had black loose stool and a rash all over my body. I stopped the medecine. I called the dr and was told to stop the medicine. I still have the rash .
If you take Lactobacillus tablets 3 or 4 times a day---it will stop the diarrea. The antbiotics kill good bacteria in your stomach---the Lactobacillus tablets restore the good bacteria in your stomach--children can take it, too...they are chewable and really fix the problem. Ask your pharmacy--you do not need a prescription for it.
