I am 47 yrs old and have taken Levaquin on and off for the past 6 years for sinus infections. I am allergic to Sulfa and Pennicillan. About a month ago I finished a second dose of Levaquin, 500 mg pill, once a day for 14 days for a sinus infection. All of a sudden I have terrible pain in my knees, wrists, hands, forearms and shoulders. (I have always been very healthy and athletic and have never had a day of knee pain in my life.) The pain in these areas is like a searing, burning pain and I also get the sharp pins and needles feelings like my limbs are asleep. It is worse at night and I cannot sleep. My life has been a private hell of pain and wondering what is going on until I started searching the internet for answers. I had no idea that I would find all of these people with the same symptoms after taking Levaquin. I have not gone to the doctor yet but am sitting here in pain as I speak wishing I could find some relief. I am going to call my doctor tomorrow, however, I am thinking that I will most likely be put down that familiar road of unanswered questions with no diagnosis. We will see. I am very scared!
