THIS STUFF IS DANGEROUS!!!!! Started taking lisonipril about 3 months ago...first month was like everyone on here has said...dizzy, palpations, chest pains, excessive tiredness....but doctor told me it was helping my blood pressure so hang in there. In the last 2 weeks I have had severe swelling of the eyes, back of the head...diagnosis....angioedema caused by the lisinopril (ACE inhibitor). My stomach feels absolutely horrible..I feel like vommiting most days. I not someone that has been to the doctor more than 5 times in my life ...now 37, I have been about 8 times since lisinopril. STAY AWAY!!!! NO MORE LISONOPRIL FOR ME!!!! nashvillecop

I'm 49 and when I started taking it I felt something on my right side felt hard, and I lost about 80% of my libido. I started increasing my potassium and started exercising. My BP is now at 125/65 (last check) and I feel great.
Libido has gone, should I say - way up.

In 2005 I was diagnosed with "Malignant Hypertention" and am on 20mg of lisonipri 2 times a day. When i started this medication my BP was 214/110 and critical. Since then I have been able to average a 156/90 BP my Labido is speratic, the nausea is controled by xanax and I have good days and bad. The jury is still out for me on lisonipri however, I am hopeing with continuing to correct my diet and possitve attitude I can stave off any heart problems. I have a friend who suffers from my same disease he is a pharmasist and basically says that ace inhibitors are the lowest risk drug to control "MH". But I do have other strange feelings, numbness of the arms while sleeping, lathargic, as well as the for mentioned bi-daily nause. Sleeplessness is also occasional. These are my personal opinions, and I am sorry we are all in the same boat.
