Knock on wood --I do not have any side effects! I take Toprol XL 50 mg per day. I had been to the ER three times with a heart rate of 150-160's but the highest it has gone since toprol is 104 but only for a few minutes!! I guess they might increase the dose a little? Gosh that heart rate of 150-160's was so scarey I am glad they make toprol !!
