Your doctor is probably getting kickbacks from Johnson/Johnson. I know mine was. She didn't tell me ANY of hte adverse side effects and went as far as to deny them when I went to her (and then contradicted herself by writing me a prescription for Exelon whcih is what they give people with Alzheimer's).

THIS IS A DANGEROUS DRUG. IF YOU DON'T MIND RISKING THE CHANCE OF BEING DUMB, HAVING MEMORY ISSUES, THEN TAKE IT.

i was on topamax for over a year and trusting my dr. i was unaware he had me on an overdose ,i was pregnant at the time and he of course assured me \
the baby would be fine and my symptoms of losing all feeling in my legs vision problems that it was inmy head. my son was born at 4lbs and he is severely develpmentally delayed. i hate this drug. please respond if you have similar situation.
