Hello. I have constant hot flashes. I was unable to explain this until I saw your post. I have been on Zocor for a while now (almost 9 months). I had been taking Lipitor earlier.
I've been on Zocor for 6 weeks and stopped it 3 days ago AMA because of muscle pain and peripheral neuropathy. I also just started having the first hot flashes I've ever had even tho. I'm 2 years post menopause. Interesting to read of the possible correlation.

i am 10 days into zocor and stopping, the hot flashes started yesterday along with night sweats and candidas. My doctor claimed the only side effect was joint and muscle pain.
I will workout to lower my cholesterol
I started Zocor and took for a week; had severe body aches and nausea, no fever, no chills, no sweats. Blood work came back normal. Doc blamed the flu. I know I did not have the flu because I wasn't even TIRED, but they didn't listen. So I tried one more time, took one pill 40 mg at night, and the next day endured increasing nausea, muscle pain, and even HOT flashes! They think it's psychosomatic. I'm going AMA and not taking it, but I will continue my diet and workout. I hope this helps someone else. Nothing else but that medication changed, so I cannot put these symptoms down to anything else.
