I have been on warfarin for about two weeks as blood clots were found in my lung. I would like to hear from others who have developed rash ( non itching) on arms and now legs. My doctor does not seem to think it is linked to the medication, but really there is no other explaination.

I have had the hives for over 2 years. I keep telling my doctor it is from the Warfarin but he does not believe me.

I am lucky I finally found a doctor to prove that the warfarin was causing the rash after a year, several scars, multitudes of medicines and finally an insurance mistake made me not able to take the medicine for almost a week and during that time the sores started going away. Still unconvinced the doctor had me go back on it and within two days the sores started to come back. I finally am off of the medicine, however I have to take the Lovenox shots and I look like a pin cushion but I am feeling healthier and the rash is half gone. In the meantime the doctor had my blood checked again for several more factors that could be causing these clots and found that I have high level of homocysteine in my blood which can lead to several health issues. She is starting me on folic acid and going forward. I suggest that anyone that has had indications of blood clots have their blood levels completely checed.
