Symptoms which were not in existence prior to staring on warfarin although my doctors say they don't think it's warfarin I'm sure it is. I usually need to take around 9.5 to 10mg but my INR is never stable. Side effects are extreme fatigue, fuzzy thinking, forgetfulness, hot rosy cheeks.

I've only been on warfarin 5mg for 2 weeks post-op total hip replacement. I suffer the same side effects within an hour of a dose and it lasts almost up to the next dose. My surgeon didn't want to believe it was the drug's fault. I started taking my temp in the morning when arising, an hour before my next dose, then a couple hours after the dose. The thermometer didn't lie, my temp was lowest in the morning and rose 3 degrees following the dose. It's almost like having the flu every day without the respiratory symptoms.
