BE CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hi, i was going to say i am not trying to scare you but in truth ny intention is just that. 1 - get a second opinion 2- get a second opinion for the second opinion. i had some back pain - pretty intense. my FP Dr. sent me to a rhemetologist - which that type of dr. is the only one that can really diagnose RA & just use RA so you don't have to spell it out. :) that dr. put me on prednisone when i didn't get better - higher dose & other meds were added - no better - higher dose & pain meds added in & so forth until i was taking a recommended dose from that dr that isn't legal for human consumption & morphine patches - 2! and still hurt. i was admitted into the hospital near death - cardiac patient - you see i had a tumor in my spinal cord that was responsible for the pain not RA not Lupus etc etc etc. that could have been bad enough but i now have suffered imense damage to my body from taking steroids on a long term basis - everything from Addisons & diabtes, bones & teeth break all of the time and i have never recovered. PLEASE BE CAREFUL - my life will never be the same - not sure what it will or even can be.
