My mother has been taking this medication for quite some time now...

My mother has been taking this medication for quite some time now, without any explaination. She doesn't have seisures or anything like that, so why would the doctor prescribe such a medicaton? I can tell you since she has been taking this medication she can't keep her eyes open 24/7. She sleeps in her chair all day, then she goes to bed and sleeps all night, not much of a life for anybody! She does this 24/7 and I am not exagerating either! Do I just take her off the medicaton or do we have to ride this out, I just don't know what to do? Talking to the Doctor is like talking to someone with a hole in their head, if you get my drift. Thanks for your time. April
