Should I take Yasmin?? I have had a yeast infection for four straight years! THe doctor put me on yasmin yesterday after being on ortho-tri-cyclen LO for 7 years!! Now I am worried with all these side effects. I am getting married in 2 months and I don't want to be on my period at my wedding because of the bloating and my dress not fitting. But I am worried about my periods getting messed up while being off the pill but I am also worried about having a stroke or all the others that everyone has mentioned! What do you think?????

I'm a little late replying to your post. So did you try Yaz? Any side effects?? If so call your doctor soon. Its better to get pregnant on your honeymoon than to spend it in the hospital. Best of luck on your marriage. Hidesertmom

I think you need to stop reading these posts, remember that everyone's body is completely different, realize that most side effects occur during the first couple of months, IF at all, and then subside, and then see how it works for you. At this point, you are going to get the same symptoms as everyone else because you are worrying that you are. As for strokes, my doctor told me the actual number of women that have strokes from the pill is extremely low, like 12 in 100,000. You'll be fine. If you have side effects, talk to your doctor and find another pill. The power of the mind is a very strong thing. Think positive, and you'll be fine.

I feel so much better now that I am off of the pill! I have talked to other doctors and I am just one out of a million women that can smell meds and get an infection!!!! I have had two infections for the past 4 1/2 years STRAIGHT and being off the pill makes it better! I have lost weight and I don't eat like every 3 hours now!
