I started using the Nuvaring on a Sunday around 11:00 am. By 3:00 pm the same day I had the most unbearable stomach cramps I have ever experienced while not on my period. The pain was so intense I had to take 6 ibuprofens and use the heating pad and it still hurt. I am taking it out today after reading the other posts.

i agree with you about getting symptoms just hours later of insertion of the ring. I began using the ring on sunday at about 7 am and by 8:30 am i had the start of a migrane brewong on the right side of my head. along with spotting that hasn't stopped, i had to take a bunch of tylenol extra strength to kill it and nearly 24 hours later the headache is gone, i think i look a little bloated but am not so sure but my appetite increased and it's only been a day. i know im going to blow up like a balloon. Anyway i would take it out and switch back to ortho try cyclen lo but my doctor recommend i keep it in for at least three weeks and if more symotoms presist then we would discuss other options.
