I've had the same problem. The first time I started zocor, a week after beginning the medication, my gout got so bad that I ended up in the emergency room and when they exaspirated the liquids in my knee, although there were no crystals, was made of mostly uric acid. I recently started taking zocor again and here I am again, gout flaring and pain in my legs. My doctor, a rheumatologist, has also said that Zocor shouldn't effect my gout.
