Unbelievable Rash on my back, scalp, etc. that my dermatologist indicated was exzema. After 7 months of constant itching, I have finally found this site and I am hoping that if I discontinue the advair, my rash will once and for all diminish.

I have now been off Advair for almost a month. It was hard at first because my chest was tight all the time and my visits to the gym were more labored. I am glad to say that after about two weeks, I hardly have any of those symptoms. Still have the rash on my back, but It has cleared up substantially. I still am not 100% sure it was the Advair that caused it. I had read somewhere that using Advair over an extended period of time thins your skin, (corizone) making you more susceptible to rashes, etc. If that is the case then its going to take a long time to thicken it back up (so I don't have such a reaction to soaps, lotions, etc.)

I am also having rash problems. I have been taking advair for copd. Have they told you the rash (mine is extremely itchy) is caused by the advair.

I am having problems getting any answers.

Vicki
