I have been on Yasmin a little over 2 years now. I have been on other BCP, such as Tri-cycline, Alesse, Diane 35. Yasmin was great in the beginning, no major side affects, except for the breast tenderness. This past year, the breast tenderness has increased and I cannot even touch my breasts. They are larger and very sensitive. I am very moodie, very emotional. Every month now, for the past 4-5 months, I have been having yeast infections. I went to see my gyno and did tests and nothing is wrong. He has no idea why the yeast infection is reoccuring. I've done some research and read other postings and some other women have had the same issue. It's very frustrating and I cannot take having yeast infections every month. I take Yasmin to help with my cramps, and primarily the endometriosis. I have had surgery (5years ago) to remove endometriosis and my gyno mentioned to say on the BCP to decrease the spreading of endometriosis. Although, Yasmin has been a pretty good BCP, I just can't take the breast tenderness and most of all the yeast infections every month. I will be going off Yasmin next month.

I had the same issues w/ Yasmin, including the supposed yeast infections, and the doc said I was fine! I finally found a gyno that gave me a very easy solution to this issue....douching! The day after my period ends I douche. and I haven't had a problem since! I recently changed brith control pills, and now taking Yaz to see if it will help my PMDD and to have a change in prescriptions. Hope this helps!

I have been on a BC pill for years trying to reduce the monthly pain I experience due to endometriosis. It has been a roller coaster! I have been on Yasmin for about 2 years but about 4 months ago some of my monthly symptoms were getting worse-more PMS about 2 weeks before my period and my breast tenderness was intensifying. So my doc switched me to Nor-Q-D...HATED that switch! My periods were longer and the cramping was horrible! SO I am back on Yasmine...but I am on the 3rd week of pills and my breast tenderness is horrible! It hurts to put on a bra! Who knows what my next step will be but I did a google search and found this website and wanted to chime in about my use of Yasmin. Overall I would say I am happy with it ,but I do have to say it appears your body changes over the years while on it! Thanks for listening. Andrea
