Had the Mirena fitted April 30th 2007, and its all just dawned on me why my skin has turned awful, I've put on weight, I have no sex drive, and my moods switch from good to bad in seconds. However, am worried Im going to speak to my doctors, and they are just going to say 'Give it a couple more months' I don't want to wait! I want my old skin, weight, sex drive and moods back!
And what is the best alternative contraception? Don't they all have this hormone?
I had a terrible experience with Mirena, it almost ruined my liife. I felt terrible and still am getting the weight off after a year has passed. The copper IUD has no hormones. I would try that if I were you. Good luck- I feel your pain!
