Is you uncle better since the rotuxson got out of his system? I have recently had a reaction myself with left sided weakness (arm and leg) the right leg is also weaker than before but stronger than the left. I have progressively gotten better and and now back at work but I am unable to take or drink anything that impairs me neurologicly or I become unable to walk good. I am curious does that effect your uncle too and did he have pain and a stiff neck and forget conversation when at the onset of his reaction?
I have had a reaction to rotuxson also although the dr. do not want to say that what happened to me was an reaction. At the onset I became very weak suddenly and my pulse went into the 50's and I became mildly hypertensive within 30 min I was unable to walk well and was dizzy. This lasted about12 hrs the first time..I slept all weekend and started to feel better then I had another episode. It started with forgetting a conversion I had with someone at my job. I left and went home and by the next morning I was worse and not able to walk without assistance. This lasted 2 weeks. I am better now with physical theropy. But I have to be very careful 1 month later not to take anything that may effect me neurologically or I again am unable to walk well. Is you uncle better now that the drug has gotton out of his system? they say that it takes about 3 months to get completely out of your system. I took 8 doses of rotuxson along with photopersises.
My uncle is still not doing well. He never did recover use of his legs. The pain started in his back initially, which is why they did a spinal tap, but then he got weakness in his legs, until he had no strength at all. He did start physical therapy, but then gave up.
I think he is severly depressed because he does not want to see anyone and doesn't bother trying to walk because of the pain associated with it. The doctor's now say that he has arthritis in his spine - yet he didn't have this before taking the treatments??? Plus, I think when you've gone too long not using your muscles, it's pretty much too late.
My uncle is a recovering alcoholic as well - like some 40 years. Also, he did not give up his smoking since his diagnosis. That could have something to do with it???
I hope you continue physically therapy and keep exercising continuously because that aides in keeping your muscle strength. I hope you continue to do well. I will pray for you for a full recovery.
