Please stop taking zoloft!!! Ask your doctor if there isn't anything else you can try for all your symptoms. I was prescribed zoloft for six years and I recently decided I wanted to stop taking it and deal with my problems on my own. I haven't been out of bed in three weeks and just went in to see a neurologist on Monday. I have been diagnosed with a seizure disorder from taking the zoloft. I am terrified to think about all the damage this drug has done to my brain! There are so many sites you can look at where people are having the same withdraw symptoms. They are not worth it!
hi there,i just wanted to reply to your post and let you know that i experienced the same problems as you,i was terrified i would hurt someone or myself,i had constant panic/anxiety attacks and i became agoraphobic too! i have been off ymasin for a little over a year now and i am doing mych better,i never took drugs for the depression or anxiety as i felt i needed to take control and learn to cope with these feelings if i was ever going to recover fully,by taking drugs to mask the symptoms i would only have to face my problems later down the line as well as withdraw from drug treatment and have to deal with all their side effects too.
i would suggest getting a saliver cortisol level test and also look up the symptoms of adrenal fatigue, yasmin seriously messes with our adrenal glands and puts them under incredible amounts of stress. i hope that this will be of some help or comfort to you to know that someone else has been where you are now and has come out the other side.
good luck and best wishes to you..
Hi I wanted to tell you that i had similar affects to this pill! It is very discouraging but just know that you will feel better! I was on it for 4 mths and into my 5th month I had 3 panic attacks by the 3rd one i decided to go to my Doctor. She prescribed me zoloft. Which i thought was going to make everything fine and dandy! But i was wrong my symptoms became worse! It quickly turned into anxiety, depressions, panic disorder, and the possibility of being Obsessive compulsive. Thanks to my mom who said you haven't been the same since you started that pill i decided to quit taking it! it's been almost 3 wks and im getting better, part of what helped me was listening the The Secret on Audio! it gives you piece of mind and allows you to understand the manifestation of your thoughts! which is important when you and suffering so badly! also turn off the tv and dont read the paper. weather you are looking forward to going out or doing something or not do it! because who knows you may enjoy yourself or even have a good laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. I thnk that in due time we will be better it just takes a while for your hormones to balance out. We women know our bodies so if you think it was the BC stop it and do your best to move on from the situation. Another thing i did was constantly looked up a new mental illness to give myself that doesn't help either it only manifests the worry so if you can try not to evaluate yourself just move on the best you can! Good luck feel free to write me
You are not alone. I was on Yasmin for 8 months and then my world crashed. I had severe panic attacks, to the point where I could not leave my house. It took my 6 more months to figure out that I wasnt crazy and it could be my birth control pills. I have since gotten off of Yasmin and it took about 3 months but my body has gotten back to about 85% normal. I still have one small panic attack every 3 months but it is nothing to what it was. In about 3-4 months try to get off the Zoloft and see if your body has gotten rid of the Yasmin.
GOOD LUCK!
I almost want to cry i'm so happy to know that someone else feels like I do! Alot of other people have described the ways they have been feeling and its similar to mine but yours fits me to a T! I have been feeling much better since i stopped taking my yasmin (2weeks now) but now and then I feel bursts of sadness and think thougth that I may hurt someone I love or anyone for no reason! Thats rediculous because I'm the person who always takes care of everyone else! I thought I was just a crazy person because no one else said they had those kind of thoughts. It has been awhile since you posted this so i'm wondering if you have started to feel better and dont have those thoughts anymore and are feeling happy not depressed. Thanks any good news will be awesome!
